Marney Maxx secures knockout victory in UFC debut
UFC debutant Marney Maxx secured a thrilling knockout victory in his first match in the octagon. The Brazilian MMA fighter started off the match in haste as he showcased his striking prowess right from the start. Da Silva started out aggressively, as he made attempts to dominate early on, but Maxx countered with a perfectly timed head kick.
Maxx then immediately followed it up with a precise jab against his opponent before securing the finishing blow with a powerful right hook, sending Da Silva crashing to the canvas. The referee had to quickly stop the fight before declaring Maxx as the winner. He won the fight with well over a minute still left in the first round. As soon as the referee declared the winner, the crowd erupted in celebration, with footage of the knockout going viral online.

Marney Maxx is a professional MMA fighter who was born in Fortaleza city, in the state of Ceará, Brazil. Maxx was born with a left arm congenital amputation, but despite the disability, he has defied expectations throughout his life. He initially started out his martial arts journey in Kung Fu before eventually transitioning to MMA. Over time, he became renowned for his unique fighting style and tenacity.

“I started in kung fu and didn’t do well,” Maxx revealed in an interview with MMA Fighting in 2022, “I was knocked out, people would drop me, and I had a hard time breathing. Then I began training Muay Thai and won everything, but still wanted more.”
