Nuno Albertino Varela Tavares is a Portuguese professional football player who is currently on loan from Arsenal to play left back for Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. He was born on January 26, 2000 in Lisbon, Portugal. The 23-year-old stands 1.83 m (6 ft 0 in) tall.

Cape Verdean-born in Lisbon, Tavares spent three years at Sporting CP, a rival team in the city, and two stints at Casa Pia before concluding his career with Benfica.
On October 27, 2018, Tavares won his home opener 3–2 against Covilhã while playing for Benfica’s reserves in the LigaPro, marking his senior debut. On July 10, 2021, Tavares signed a long-term contract with Arsenal for an estimated £8 million.
