The gutsy 27-year-old van Leuven started her transition only a year ago and bravely entered the Women’s Series at the same time. However, her journey was not without difficulties. She said that before her transition, her personal misery had a negative impact on her life and darts career.
Noa-Lynn van Leuven claimed that she thought about giving up darts at first, but she eventually found the courage to accept who she was. She sought psychological advice before deciding to transition to ensure she was making the best decisions for her well-being.
She continued by saying that despite her successes, she had opposition from some of her other competitors, who made nasty comments about her when she won the Denmark Open. However, her determination and passion for the sport have earned her praise from fellow female pros like Greaves and Fallon Sherrock.
Noa-Lynn van Leuven found it very difficult to tell her family and friends about her adventure. Her loved ones did, however, provide her with a lot of support, which got her through.
Due to this, she has become the talk of the town, with many people trying to learn more about her. So, here’s what we know about her:
Who is Noa-Lynn van Leuven?
Noa-Lynn van Leuven is a professional Dutch dart player. She has been in the news because she recently became the first trans woman to participate in a darts TV tournament.
She was born and brought up in the Netherlands as a male. However, after realizing what her sexuality was, she transitioned to become a female.
Even as Noa-Lynn van Leuven acquired success and fame in the darts world, including winning the Denmark Open, she continued to work as a chef de partie at a neighborhood restaurant in Heemskerk, close to Amsterdam. Her goal is to obtain a PDC Tour card since doing so will free her up to concentrate exclusively on her darts career and leave her work at the restaurant.
She is currently 27 years old.
