The San Francisco Police Department arrested Nima Momeni for stabbing CashApp founder Bob Lee. Momeni and Lee were coworkers in the tech industry and knew each other.
On April 4, the founder was rushed to the hospital after being found severely injured due to multiple stabbings. The police department called it a targeted killing and not just some random killing or any case of rob and run.

Nima Momeni attended Berkeley’s University of California, and prior to that, he studied at Vista College and Laney College.
His business, Expand IT, is owned by him. In the biography for his business, he describes it as “a dedicated technology partner since 2005, supporting a variety of client vertical markets in Healthcare, Finance, Technology, High Tech/Startup, Manufacturing, and Service sectors.”
He formerly held positions as an IT administrator for Coast Range IT and as a consultant for Diablo IT. Working for Marfic, he began his career as a software engineer and spent two years there.
On the day Lee was stabbed, Momeni was reportedly seen with the victim while driving through downtown San Francisco in a car that belonged to the suspect. The two are thought to have engaged in some type of disagreement inside the car, which may have continued after Lee got out and was stabbed. Shortly after the officers arrived on the scene in the 300 block of Main Street, the murder weapon was found nearby.
According to reports, the police were sent to Emeryville with a warrant to arrest Momeni, who is accused of repeatedly stabbing Lee with a knife.
