Recently the rapper has gotten himself into a controvery with a woman.

Who is Nikita Mathis who rapper Busta Rhymes threw a drink at after she tried to touch him in viral video
But Busta Rhymes has been in the news lately for something besides his music. A video of the rapper throwing a drink at a female fan after she allegedly touched his behind was shared on social media. The problem happened at the MAGIC Fashion Trade Show in Las Vegas, and the video of it went viral very quickly.

The woman is the owner of Platinum Plus Fashions Boutique. Her name is Nikita Mathis. In an interview with The Shade Room, she said that when the incident happened, she was trying to get a picture with Busta. She says that she didn’t mean to touch him and that it was just an accident.
Busta Rhymes is walking through the convention centre in the video when Mathis sneaks up behind him and grabs his butt. Busta turns around, throws a drink at her, and then looks her straight in the eyes. Before the fight, Mathis can be seen smiling or laughing. Her reaction after the drink was thrown, however, was not caught on camera.
Rhymes has been a regular offender
Busta Rhymes has been in fights before, so this isn’t the first time. In 2015, he was charged with second-degree assault after throwing a protein drink at a gym worker in Manhattan. After he pleaded guilty and agreed to go to anger management classes, the charge was changed to harassment.
Busta Rhymes has also spoken out about his support for the #MeToo movement. Which aims to bring attention to sexual harassment and assault. In an interview with CNN in 2018, he talked about how important it was to hold people responsible for their actions. And make sure women felt safe and respected.
Fans have differing opinions
Some fans have defended Busta Rhymes, but others have said that he was wrong to treat Mathis that way. Many people have said that if the roles were switched and a male fan was groping a female artist, people would be outraged.

The incident has brought up the discussion about consent and personal boundaries again, especially in the context of celebrity culture. Even though it’s understandable that fans might get excited and want to talk to their favourite artists, it’s never okay to touch someone without their permission. Busta Rhymes hasn’t talked about what happened with Mathis in public. And it’s not clear if there will be any legal action.
