Recently, reports surfaced indicating that Elliott Hill, who once walked into the headquarters of the Nike as an intern, is now all set to become the CEO of one of the world’s most iconic sports brand.

As per media reports, Elliott Hill, who retired from the company in 2020 after John Donahoe was appointed as the Chief Executive, is prepared to become the new CEO and President of the company.
Reportedly, Hill will take over the position officially on October 14, as aforesaid, succeeding John Donahoe.

The decision of naming Hill as the new CEO comes at a challenging time for the company, with its declining sales and rising competition from various brands including On, Deckers’ Hoka, among many more.
About Elliott Hill
As per age 62 Hill’s bio on his official LinkedIn profile, he is “incoming President, and Chief Executive Officer,” of Nike. Elliott completed a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University in Kinesiology from 1982-1986.
Later, he went to pursue Master’s degree from Ohio University in Sports Administration from 1987-1988.
While pursuing his bachelor’s degree, Hill started working with the Dallas Cowboys as an Assistant Athletic trainer, from 1986-87. However, after earning a Master’s degree, Hill went to join hands with Nike in 1988 as an Intern.
Hill’s compensation package includes a base salary of $1.5 million per year, with a target annual bonus of 200% of that, along with stock. Nike is bringing Hill back with a compensation package worth $27 million and this includes $7 million in equity and cash but his net worth isn’t known.
Elliott Hill has an estimated net worth of $29.1 million and this is based on reported shares across multiple companies, which include Nike.
In addition to serving on TCU’s Board of Trustees, Hill and his wife, Gina, support TCU in many other ways, including offering a farmhouse in Italy to house a residency for TCU art students. He had Gina have two kids named Austin and Peyton.

As per his LinkedIn profile, Hill worked at the Nike as a sales representative intern from 1988 to 1990. Later, he was promoted as an sales, sports graphics, the position he held for a year.
Hill retired from Nike in 2020 after serving as the President in the consumer and marketplace department. In August 2020, he joined hands with Weber Stephan Products LLC as a Board Member, the position he held till September 2024.
