He began his career at FacSet Research Systems Inc., however, he soon realized that much of the analysis is being done was โrun-of-the-mill,โ and conformist. So, later, he took a job vetting potential investments for the private wealth management services of wealthy individuals.
This experience made him want to establish his own firm, Clarity Spring. It was his first firm. While working for his first firm, Anderson, cited Harry Markopolos, the financial fraud investigator who played a main role in exposing Bernie Madoffโs Ponzi scheme.
In 2014, Anderson began filing whistleblower reports with U.S. authorities hoping to collect government bounties for uncovering fraud. In 2017, he founded his own firm namely, Hindenburg Research, which is a New York based financial research firm known for its investigative reports that often expose corporate misconduct.
