Silva’s first four fights were when she suffered three of her five career defeats, but at 26 years old, the Pingo-d’gua still has many of her greatest years in the sport ahead of her.
Since her victory in the octagon, her popularity has only grown, and that popularity has undoubtedly translated into social media followers as she currently has 145,000 on Instagram.
Whether she publishes pictures of herself looking glamorous or at the gym, her devoted fans often respond favourably to them. After Silva shared a video of herself shadow-boxing on Brazilian hills, as was to be expected, her supporters showered her with praise, with one user of the social media platform writing: “Future champ after watching UFC 292.”
A user commented:
Someone is a star now lol. Well deserved” while a third labelled her “perfect” as they wrote: “With you in it, its the perfect picture”.
The decision to leave her hometown to increase her chances of joining MMA’s top promotion and thank her trainers for their assistance in her career made Silva’s path to the UFC difficult. The player had a hard time moving to Contagem (Brazil) following her dream. However, following her future, she had tough times staying away from her mother and her siblings. She wrote, as per the Daily Star:
“I moved to Contagem (Brazil) because of this dream of being here in the UFC. It was hard to be away from home, from my mom and siblings.”
