What Did the Police Say?
As per the police authorities, Nasreen Amir Qureshi was visiting Borne Ghat in Satara district along with her friends when the alleged incident took place. The authorities revealed that Nasreen was rescued and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors reveal that she is under stable condition.
This incident came to the light a few days after the death of a 26-year-old Instagram influencer, Aanvi Kamdar, who also fell into a gorge at Kumbhe Waterfall near Raigad while shooting a video.
After the alleged incident, the local authorities have urged tourists to prioritize their safety and avoid doing any reckless and risky behavior.
Meanwhile, the district collector, Jitendra Dudi, in an announcement, has ordered the closure of such sites from August 2 to 4 to prevent further accidents in the midst of heavy rains causing overflowing waterfalls.
