Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward had one of the best seasons of any college QB in recent memory in 2024, catapulting him to the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft on Thursday.

Nailah Landon has been a standout student and athlete since she was a high school student at IC Catholic Prep in Chicago. She tried her hand at a number of sports before settling on volleyball, first at Barry University and later at the University of the Incarnate Word.
Nailah who stands 6 feet tall and went to IC Catholic Prep plays as a middle blocker/right side in volleyball. She is the daughter of Noni Weathers and Norvice Landon and has four siblings April, Jalen, Nia and Norvice while her cusin Patrick Nelson plays football at SMU. She was born in Chicago on March 5, 2001.
Ward met Landon, who was a star athlete in volleyball, basketball, and track and field, earning Metro Suburban All-Conference honors in high school at IC Catholic Prep, during their days at Incarnate Word in San Antonio, where Ward played from 2020 to 2021 and Landon continued her volleyball career at Barry University before transferring to Incarnate Word, where she stayed to study communications and media studies even after Ward transferred to Washington State.
Landon was a volleyball player at Incarnate Word, where she graduated in 2023 and a Chicago native, she played volleyball at Incarnate Word while obtaining her degree in communication and media studies.

Landon spent most of last year as a marketing coordinator for Major League Baseball’s Miami Marlins.
Going back to social media, Nailah maintains her personal life private, as it should always be, and does not have a public Instagram page. But everything might be about to change because her boyfriend’s status as a Heisman Trophy finalist could be exacerbated by the devastating blow of being selected first overall in the NFL Draft.

After playing his final season at the University of Miami, quarterback Cam Ward is now on his way to Nashville to start his NFL career. After an outstanding season in which he won ACC Player of the Year, the Titans selected him as the first overall pick in the draft.
