Nada Hafez who is a Muslim by religion is an Egyptian sabre fencer and former gymnast who was born on August 28, 1997, in Cairo, Egypt. She is currently 26 years old. She has so far competed across three Olympic Games – the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2020 Summer Olympics and 2024 Summer Olympics. Aside from competing internationally, Hafez is also an Egyptian national champion in gymnastics.

Nada stands at a height of 1.68 m and currently weighs around 58 kg.
Education
Nada Hafez attended Cairo University where she graduated with a degree in Medicine in 2022. She briefly worked as a clinical pathologist after completing her education.
Marriage
Nada is currently married to a cardiac surgeon named Ibrahim Ihab.
Career and achievements
Nada became a member of the Egyptian National Senior Fencing Sabre Women’s Team back in 2014. The following year in 2015, she won her first Egyptian Senior Women’s Sabre National Republic Competition. In 2016, Nada qualified through the African zonal qualification (Algeria) for the 2016 Rio Olympics. She then qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
Notably, Nada Hafez won a silver in 2018 and two bronze in 2019 and 2014 at the African zonal championship. She also managed to win a bronze medal at the Belgium Tournoi satellite and most recently competed at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Although she failed to win a medal, Nada beat American Elizabeth Tartakovsky 15-13 before losing 15-7 to South Korean Jeon Ha-young in the round of 16.
