Well-known Indian real-estate businessman Paras Porwal has been in the news because he recently passed away by suicide, know his family and net worth
According to a police officer quoted by PTI, well-known builder Paras Porwal allegedly killed himself on Thursday by falling from the 23rd floor of a Mumbai building.
In a suicide note that was subsequently discovered by police at the builder’s gym, he stated that no one should be held accountable for his passing and that no inquiries should be made.

He also left a note for his wife and kids in which he warned them about the dangers of SRA projects and advised them to choose private development initiatives instead.

Who Was Paras Porwal?
Paras Porwal was a well-known Indian real-estate businessman. He has been in the news because he recently ended his life after allegedly suffering losses.
His full name was Paras Shantilal Porwal. He was born in the year 1965 in the Jalore district of Rajasthan. His father’s name is not known while his mother’s name was Shanti Devi. He also has one sister.
He was married and his spouse’s name is Manju Porwal. He also has two kids. His son’s name is Rony and he is married to Akruti. His daughter’s name is Rikki and she is married.
He died on October 20, 2022, at Shantikamal Cooperative Housing Society in South Mumbai, India, his residence. At the time of his death, he was 57 years old.
His Career
Paras Porwal, a Rajasthani immigrant, spent his first years in Mumbai living in a chawl at Ambewadi in Kalachowki and hawking fake jewelry on public transportation. In the 1990s, he ascended from modest beginnings to become a well-known figure in the city’s real estate and corridors of power.
He began his profession by offering flooring tiles to other developers, a modest construction-related task. At Kalachowki, he received his first significant break from Paras Gundecha. Subsequently, he became involved in a real estate brokerage project that allowed him to break into the city’s thriving real estate market.
Pramod Jathar, a personal friend and business partner of Porwal, and Porwal worked together to complete the Bawlawadi Chawl reconstruction project in Parel in 1998–1999.
Paras Porwal made an attempt at politics after completing rehabilitation projects on municipal land, including Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) projects, with success. He ran for the Kalachowki Sewri seat in the 2004 Assembly elections on a Samajwadi Party (SP) ticket against Bala Nandgaonkar of the Shiv Sena. But he was defeated.
He was connected to a number of businesses, including his initial business, Om Shanti Builders & Developers. The Bawlawadi project in Parel, the Kach Kharkhana project in Wadala, and the Sasmira project next to Worli Naka are a few of his well-known real estate endeavors.
His name has also cropped up in a 2018 real estate scam in Mumbai. At the time of his death, he was believed to be working on the Jijamata slum revitalization project in Worli. His net worth is not known.
Cause Of Death Of Paras Porwal
A priest of the Porwal-built Shanti Kamal housing community heard a loud thump at about 6:05 am and discovered Paras Porwal lying in a pool of blood.
He subsequently informed others, including the astonished relatives of the developer. After that, Porwal was taken by the police to KEM hospital, where he was admitted dead.
The deceased also had a private rooftop and lived in a duplex on the 21st and 22nd levels. The suicide letter was later discovered by the police on the 22nd level of his gym. A complaint of accidental death has been filed with the Kalachowki police, and an investigation has started.
