Here is all you need to know about Tiger Woods’ new caddie Lance Bennett who is a huge MSU fan including his career, bio and more
It has been revealed that Tiger Woods would not, as had been anticipated, play in the next Players Championship, casting doubt on his most recent return.
It was Woods’s eighth participation at the Hero World Challenge in November and his first since the Masters the previous year, following his involvement in an automobile accident in early 2021.

Woods is now unlikely to be seen until the Masters in April, despite having set a 2024 target of competing once a month. Last month, the 15-time major champion made his new caddy debut.
Tiger had a new caddie in tow when he soft-launched his comeback in December at the Hero World Challenge event in the Bahamas. For the reason that Tiger’s longtime caddie, Joe LaCava, who started carrying his bag in 2011 and assisted him in winning 11 races, including the 2019 Masters, has lately started working with Patrick Cantlay instead of Woods, this is the case.
Bennett stood up as the perfect choice for Woods, who needed an experienced professional to mentor him through events like the Genesis Invitational. Woods arrived at Riviera with his bag carried by seasoned Tour caddy Lance Bennett and here is all you need to know about him.
Who is Lance Bennett?
He was born in Prince George, VA and has never played golf and is a huge Michigan State University fan. He has been working as a caddie since 2003. Tiger Woods’ new caddie Lance Bennett was recently seen rocking the MSU yardage book cover.
Lance Bennett has been a professional caddy for more than 20 years and is well-known in the golf industry. Over the years, he has worked with many golfers who are ranked well on the PGA Tour. He was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, United States and was married to Angela Bennett until she passed away in 2014. They welcomed a kid named Emma Grace Bennett.
Bennett has on the PGA Tour since 2003, and his resume is strong. He has been carrying bags for Sungjae Im and Davis Riley for the past few years. In addition, he has worked with Paula Creamer, Lorena Ochoa, Bill Haas, Juli Inkster, and Matt Kuchar.
The opportunity for Bennett to work with Woods at the Genesis Invitational was made possible by his current full-time commitment to the winner of the Korn Ferry Tour Rookie of the Year, Adrien Dumont de Chassart.
