At 11:26 p.m. that same evening, he was taken into custody; at 1:23 a.m. on March 22, he was released on a $1,000 cash or professional bond.

According to deputies, Deegan expressed regret and acknowledged a transgression, saying, “We were all drifting.” According to WCSO, Deegan was then taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle and racing on the interstate.

Deputies also claimed that Deegan had false identification with him and that he had received a verbal warning for his polite behaviour during the interaction. This charge would have been considered a felony.
According to WCSO, Deegan’s car was towed with a 30-day hold.

Temecula, California native Haiden Deegan is a well-known competitor in the AMA Supercross and Motocross championships. He is the son of famous freestyle motocross rider Brian Deegan. He is a member of the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team and has won the 2023 and 2024 SuperMotocross (SMX) 250cc Championships as well as the 2024 AMA Motocross 250cc Championships.
Deegan is the current point leader in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series’ 250SX West Regional Championship. With 129 points, he is ahead of New Zealander Cole Davies (104 points) and Julien Beaumer (117 points).
