In early 2015, Sua appeared as a contestant on the show Unpretty Rapstar 2. Moon Sua went to the final round, and she ended the show being third runner-up.
In early 2016, YG Entertainment declared plans to debut a new girl group, which is now BLACKPINK. While Moon Sua was likely a candidate for the group’s lineup, she was never officially included.
