Who is Tome Vazquez?
Tomé Vázquez, a retired Spanish football midfielder born on May 11, 1982, most recently played for Oviedo Moderno in Spain’s Segunda División. She has also competed in Primera División with Levante UD and FC Barcelona, winning the title with both teams.
The 41-year-old measures 1.75 m (5 ft 9 in) tall. Tomé, a previous member of the senior national team who finished second at the U-19 Euros, competed in the 2005 Euro qualifiers. Tome had served as Vilda’s assistant coach since 2018 and, according to the RFEF, has since “established herself as a key player in the national team’s growth.”
Tome came to Levante after spending five years with Oviedo Moderno. In her first year with the team, the team went on to finish ahead of Rayo Vallecano and won the league. Prior to joining Barcelona in 2010, the former midfielder stayed with the team for two more years.
