Let us tell you, the series which is titled “Monique Olivier: Accessory to Kill,” is a 5-part series which tells us why streaming giant found them sinister enough to make the documentary on them.

This all started in 1987 when a serial killer who’s identified as Michel Paul Fourniret admitted to killing a total of 12 people in France and Belgium between 1987 and 2003. However, his killing spree ended in June 2003, when he was arrested for trying to kidnap a teenage girl in Ciney, Belgium.

The former nurse was convicted for her complicity in five of her husband’s murders, yet the documentary describes her as “a submissive wife who [was] scared of her husband” and therefore did not speak up about the crimes until Fourniret was arrested and a voiceover adds: “She is a housewife who helps to rape, kill and abduct. But in the end, she is a housewife.”

Olivier received 28 years for complicity after it was revealed she would pick up victims for him as she drove their car around the Ardennes area with their baby son in the backseat and the pair were also ordered to pay €1.5 million in moral compensation to family members of the victims.

Monique Olivier, now 73, is currently serving 28 years for her complicity in her husband’s multiple murders in Rennes prison and is reportedly likely to stand trial later this year for her role in the murder of Joanna Parrish and the kidnapping of Fourniret’s two other victims.

According to investigating sources, who have monitored her in prison, Olivier reportedly told a fellow prisoner that her ex-husband’s victims ‘greatly exceeded 30’, so the investigation is not yet over.

During the interrogation, Michel confessed to killing a total of 9 people and was sentenced to life imprisonment without possibility of parole. In addition, his wife, Monique was also given punishment and was sent to behind bars for 28 years.

The story between Oliver and Michel stated in 1987 when the former responded to an advertisement in a Christian magazine. In an ad, Michel cleared it out that he was a prisoner who’s seeking to have a friendship with someone to fill his time.

Meanwhile, Oliver responded to the ad that she understood how lonely he must be to feel this way. This is how their friendship started and they began writing letters to each other.

Around 217 letters were exchanged between them over a period of 10 months and soon after, Michel was released from jail. As per reports, the two shared every little detail of their lives in those letters and he even admitted that he was sent to jail for sexually assaulting several girls, however, she didn’t pull back.

Later, it turned out that Olivier fell in love with him because he made her feel important. And as she wasn’t feeling lonely how which made her assure that he would give her a better life.
