Before Kobe Bryant’s tragic passing, Carter claimed that he had promised her 2% of the profit from Coca-Cola’s acquisition of BODYARMOR, a claim that the NBA star vehemently denied. Following Kobe’s passing, Vanessa Bryant launched a countersuit against Carter in addition to defending her spouse. An arbitrator ultimately decided the case in Vanessa’s favor.
In her complaint against Carter, Vanessa also revealed more troubling information. Molly Carter allegedly received authorization to fly aboard Kobe Inc.’s private aircraft to the NBA All-Star game. She is also accused of making offensive comments about other passengers on the flight, calling them “a lot of fancy-ass Black people.”

Molly Carter is a well-known business executive. She has been in the news because she is currently facing accusations of contract violation and disparagement by Vanessa Bryant.
She is a native of Chicago and is currently living in California. After completing her schooling, she graduated from DePaul University.
Her career
According to Molly Carter’s LinkedIn page, her career history dates back to 1999, when she worked as the Atlanta Hawks’ assistant director of corporate communications. Before joining the Hawks, Carter worked for three years as an account supervisor in Chicago, where she had the honor of having the illustrious Chicago Bulls as one of her prestigious clients.
Prior to working for PepsiCo’s Gatorade company, Carter made important contributions to Converse Basketball, where she was instrumental in developing Dwyane Wade’s clothing and footwear lines.
Molly Carter was the driving force behind the creation of a commercial showcasing the renowned Miami Heat player while she worked in the Gatorade marketing division. Along with her work with Wade under the Converse brand, Carter collaborated with Elton Brand to help him develop his first trademark sneaker.
Since leaving Kobe Inc., Carter has taken on the role of Senior Adviser for Platinum Equity.
