Zomato had also witnessed their co-founder, Gaurav Gupta, quitting the company 2 months after its initial public offering, IPO in the month of July 2021. Previously, Zomato’s initial co-founder Pankaj Chaddah quit the company in late 2018. Both the partners, Gaurav Gupta and Mohit Gupta were elevated as co-founders in 2019 and in 2022.

Mohit Gupta has held different positions in Zomato including the post of Chief Executive of the food delivery unit and also as the head of its new initiatives.

In 2018, prior to joining Zomato, Gupta was the Chief operating officer at the travel booking platform, Makemytrip. Previously he also worked as a vice president at a marketing company Pepsico India.
As per media reports, Zomato last week declared its earnings for the month of September quarter when it narrowed its quarterly loss to Rs. 250.8 Crores from Rs. 434.9 Crores a year late.
In the letter by the shareholder of the second quarter results, CEO Goyal noted that the Zomato food delivery business was growing and steadily growing profitability in it. There is no room for the business to grow much quicker than what it is presently trending at. Mohit did his BTech at Patel University and later on pursued MBA at IIM.
