When asked about his role in Portugal’s win, Mendes said, “It was a clash [with Yamal] like many others I have had during the season. I have faced up to many great players, very technically skilled players who can make a difference, but today I cancelled out Lamine and [did] not let him do what he does best.”
The 22-year-old played more minutes than any other player during the season and was featured in all ten of his country’s games. He won the UEFA Champions League with Paris at the same venue just eight days before Portugal’s success. No one has bettered his six assists either.
“Nuno Mendes was incredible offensively and defensively during the tournament,” said the UEFA Technical Observer Group. “He scored in the final and made an assist in the semi-final on top of this.”

The Brazilian model, who lives in Portugal, has been seen at the French champions’ stadium, where Nuno Mendes has been playing for four years and they also spent the summer of 2024 together in Menorca and Cape Verde.
Thalyta constantly travels to Paris and she has already made many friends with other women and girlfriends of football players namely with Margarida Amaral Domingues, girlfriend of Gonçalo Ramos, who also played for PSG.
