In anticipation of the stacked pay-per-view scheduled for this Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted its UFC 308 pre-fight press conference this morning.
Dorobshokh Nabotov, an unbeaten Tajikistani fighter, chose to address UFC CEO Dana White and request a UFC contract twenty-eight minutes into the press conference. White, who is renowned for being hard of hearing, inquired about the fighter’s name, weight class, age, and record. A few seconds later, White called the combatant to the stage and instructed him to speak to a person in the rear.

I never had a manager; I did it all by myself. Please give me a chance, Dana. I want to fight in the UFC; please give me this opportunity. I am ready.”
According to media reports, Dorobshokh Nabotov, a Tajikistani native, and Khamzat Chimaev, another middleweight contender, were both born in Chechnya. He is now ranked #437 in the Eurasia region; however, he has fought all of his career in Russia.

Through a variety of platforms, including Road to UFC and Dana White’s Contender Series, Dana White has been steadfast in her commitment to providing young, gifted athletes an opportunity. Have you ever heard of someone receiving a UFC bout opportunity straight from Dana White? That’s just what occurred tonight when a man from the audience spoke up at the UFC pre-fight press conference. He offered himself for a UFC bout rather than posing a question.
The 25-year-old has a 5-1 record in his amateur career. He entered the world of professional mixed martial arts in 2018 and hasn’t looked back. The UFC boss has taken notice of his outstanding record, which makes him a deserving contender for a UFC shot.
His 7-0 fight record includes two knockouts and one submission and he fights in the lightweight category.
