Miron Muslic was born in Bihac, Bosnia in a Christian family on 14 September, 1982 and is 6ft tall. At the age of nine, he and his family moved to Innsbruck. At the age of twelve, Muslic began playing football in the FC Wacker Innsbruck academy in 1994 after moving to Austria with his family after the Bosnian war’s chaos.

Muslic, his younger sister, Marinela, and their parents, Camil and Mersada, fled to Austria via Hungary, arriving in Pertisau am Achensee after a few days on the road via various modes of transport. And from there, Austria became his second home. He and his sister had to change schools 10-11 times due to all the travelling.

Muslic’s father worked as a waiter in resort hotels in Tirol and his mother as a cleaner. His family shared a poky room in Innsbruck, in a block with other refugees from Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia and Turkey and his father slept on the floor so Marinela, his mother and he could sleep on the bed.
