South Korean artist Min Hee-jin is a graphic designer and art director. She formerly held the position of creative director at SM Entertainment, where she was responsible for branding the acts Girls’ Generation, Shinee, f(x), Exo, and Red Velvet. Her grandpa encouraged her to pursue a profession in art and design when she grew absorbed in drawing. Since she formerly had aspirations of becoming an audio director, she joined the school’s radio club.

In A Quest To Have A Safe And Secured Future And Have Stability In Life
She and both of her younger brothers made the choice to major in visual design at an art school. Soon, she had been anxious about finding work after finishing her internship in the Korean advertising industry. Even though she’s not into idol culture, she thought that just by signing on SM recruits and showcasing her creative viewpoint to listeners in a wider audience. She believed that she could still profit from the idol music industry.

Rise Of K-POP
She acts as both the chief brand officer for Hybe and the CEO of the sublabel ADOR of the Hybe Corporation. Min started to work as a graphic designer for SM Entertainment in 2002. Later on, she was promoted to creative director, where she was in charge of repositioning the visuals for groups including Girls’ Generation, Shinee, f(x), Exo, and Red Velvet. While employed by SM, she rose to fame for her innovative, experimental approach to art direction. This contrasted with the traditional style favored by first-generation K-pop idols.
She became a member of the SM board of directors in 2017. However, due to burnout, she left the company at the end of 2018.
Min Heejin joined Hybe Corporation in 2019 and oversaw the company’s makeover as the chief brand officer. She was appointed to lead Hybe’s newest subsidiary, ADOR, as CEO in November 2021. (All Doors One Room). Never before has the hype launched a label on its own. In July 2022, the label unveiled its first girl group, NewJeans, with Min directing their development and artistic direction.
On August 1, they plan to release their first EP she stated, “Our label won’t hesitate to face new challenges and seek to build artist IP and content, including ADOR’s distinctive ideology.”
Towards New Success
When Min Heejin began her career in 2002, she didn’t have such a well-known creative team, but she worked as a creative director on almost every step. This included music videos, stage looks, and package design. After her most recent experiment was successful, she had recently created a successful team decision-making process.
When she was in charge of Girls’ Generation’s Gee and SUPER JUNIOR’s Sorry Sorry in 2009, SM eventually caved into her constant demands and allowed her to manage full visual direction. She has also overseen the visual direction for SHINee, f(x), EXO, Red Velvet, and NCT since their pre-debut.
