Who Is Milla Sofia?

The 24-year-old Finnish model Milla Sofia is described as a “stunning blonde” by the well-established British newspaper.

She started posting pictures of her summer travels to Instagram as part of her efforts to become a worldwide fashion influencer. Within a short span of time, thousands of people started to follow her.

An AI Model Used For Money Making

According to a British article, although it is typical on social media to earn income through influencing, virtual influencers have also been used in various money-making scams.

The paper also emphasised a quick way to spot artificial intelligence fraud. It states that if it repeatedly fails to form a hand. The alleged fact that Sofia frequently conceals her hand led to the identification of more than five fingers in a photograph of her hand that was published.

After her news made headlines, Sofia’s following has now decreased to 58,000.

The Rise In AI Technology Increased Fraud Cases

The rise of artificial intelligence (AI)-generated individuals like Milla Sofia extends outside of social media and into the dating world. Celebrity matchmaker Alessandra Conti has observed a sharp rise in the number of clients reporting incidents of being “catfished” by AI bots.

It can be challenging to distinguish these bots from real people since they are so lifelike.

Conti advises keeping an eye out for telltale signs of bots, such as unclearly marked profiles. She also says that talking about money or investments could be a warning sign.

She does, however, concede that those over 35 are a common target of these bots since they are more susceptible to their cunning tricks.

Influencers like Caryn Marjorie have occasionally embraced AI copies of themselves. By charging people to interact with her through CarynAI, as she likes to call it, she can make money off of her name and likeness. While some would perceive this as a mutual understanding, Conti worries that elderly people could be taken advantage of by these convincing AI bots on dating apps.

Raya, a popular dating app, has also been compromised by AI bots, proving that no platform is totally safe from this issue. Conti highlights the value of exercising caution and double-checking communications with other users of dating apps.
