For the unversed, early morning on Sunday, a speeding BMW struck a couple on a two-wheeler in Mumbai’s Worli, resulting in the death of a woman.

As per authorities, at 5:30 am, Kaveri Nakva and her husband Pradik Nakva, residents of the Koliwada area in Worli, were returning home from Sassoo

The impact was severe, causing their bike to overturn and throwing both of them onto the car’s bonnet.
The husband managed to jump off the bonnet, but his wife was not as fortunate and was dragged for 100 meters by the car as it attempted to flee.
The driver of the BMW fled the scene, leaving the injured woman behind. She was quickly rushed to a hospital where she was declared dead.
The husband is currently undergoing treatment. Police have launched an investigation into the hit-and-run case.
Identity of the Suspect
According to police sources, the car was driven by 24-year-old Mihir Shah, the son of Rajesh Shah, a deputy leader of Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde faction. Earlier, reports suggests that Rajesh Shah has been detained by the police.
The hit-and-run incident has revealed shocking details. Police discovered that Mihir Shah and the driver were in a white BMW car at the time of the accident.

Currently, Mihir Shah is still on the run while his father is being thoroughly investigated by the police.
The Worli police, along with RTO and forensic teams, are inspecting the vehicle involved. The investigation revealed that after fleeing the scene, Mihir went to his girlfriend’s house in Goregaon.
His girlfriend has also been detained. Mihir left Goregaon at 8 am, heading to Bandra, and then switched off his phone. Another police team has gone to Bandra in search of him.
The incident near Atria Mall in Worli has shaken Mumbai, similar to the recent hit-and-run case in Pune’s Kalyaninagar. The police are actively tracing Mihir’s location.
