She was born to parents Rob Tate and Michelle Tate and has a sister named Felicia Martin. Miesha is currently 37 years old and competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, in which she is a former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion. Tate has also competed for Strikeforce and was a former Strikeforce women’s bantamweight champion.

Miesha then joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in February 2013 and currently holds a record of 19-9-0, 19 wins, 9 losses and no draws.

Notably, Miesha Tate retired from MMA in 2016 to start her family but returned in 2021 after a five-year hiatus. She shared about her experiences, stating:
