Netflix’ ongoing five-part series, titled “Monique Olivier: Accessory to Evil,” which premiered on March 2, 2023, explored the detailed look into the role of Olivier, who fulfilled her husband’s sick needs.
For those who are curious to know about where the women is now, let us tell you, she is presently serving a 28-year sentence for her role in 5 of her husband’s murders.
As per BBC, Michel admitted killing a total of 11 people, which includes British student Joanna Parrish, who was found dead in a river in Auxerre in 1990. It was only after a failed attempt to kidnap a 13-year-old girl that he was finally caught at his home and eventually got arrested in Sart-Custinne, Belgium back on June 26, 2003.
In 2008, during his trial, he got convicted for at least 7 brutal killings. His most known victims includes lsabelle Laville, Fabienne Leroy, Jeanne-Marie Desramault, Elisabeth Brichet, Natacha Danais, Celine Saison, Mananya Thumphong, Farida Hammiche, Marie-Angèle Domèce, Joanna Parrish and Estelle Mouzin Domèce, who was a disabled woman.
As per Get To Text, Domèce went missing on July 8, 1988 at the age of 19. On May 10, 2021, Michel, who was serving life sentenced in prison without parole, passed away. However, with the death of her 79-year-old husband, Olivier who was 72-year-old is now grabbing all the attention as the facilitator of her husband’s cruel crime.
Michel was rushed from Fresnes prison to a secure unit at Pitié Salpêtrière hospital in Paris back on May 8, 2021 after he suffered a health issue. Fourniret died on 10 May 2021 at the age of 79 after being admitted into the hospital with respiratory issues.
As per a report by the Mirror, he was rushed to the hospital after “suffering from respiratory problems.” A source revealed the outlet at the time, that “He is suffering with heart problems and mental degeneration, has been placed in a coma, and doctors consider he cannot be resuscitated.”
Following Fourniret’s death, in a statement Olivier’s lawyer, Richard Delgene, stated, “Michel Fourniret is taking his secrets with him. As we still have a lot of cases in progress, Monique Olivier will remain the only one in the defendants’ box to be held accountable.”
