Erik Jon Spoelstra is an American sportsman who serves as head coach of the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 53-year-old stands 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) tall and was born on November 1, 1970 in Evanston, Illinois, U.S.
