Who is Romario Shepherd?
Romario Shepherd is a Guyanese cricket player who represents West Indies in international cricket and Guyana in domestic cricket. The 29-year-old was born on November 26, 1994 in Georgetown, Guyana. The all-rounder stands 1.91 m (6 ft 3 in) tall.
A look at Romario Shepherd’s career so far
Shepherd, a right-arm fast bowler, played against the Leeward Islands in the 2015–16 Regional Super50 before making his List A debut for Guyana in January 2016.
On March 10, 2017, he participated in the 2016–17 Regional Four Day Competition representing Guyana for the first time. On September 5, 2018, he played in his first Twenty20 match for the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Shepherd was added to the Guyana Amazon Warriors roster in July 2020 in preparation for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League. After the players’ draft for the 2022 Pakistan Super League, he signed a contract with the Karachi Kings in December 2021.
He was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League 2022 auction in February of that year. Talking about his international debut, On November 6, 2019, he made his debut for the West Indies in an ODI match against Afghanistan.
