Matt Weiss is married to wife Melissa with whom he has three children
In a 24-count indictment, a former NFL and college football coach Matt Weiss was accused of gaining access to 3,300 students’ internet accounts in order to download their private images and videos.
The 42-year-old former co-offensive coordinator Matt Weiss at the University of Michigan allegedly broke into computers at over 100 universities, according to federal authorities. Between 2015 and 2023, Weiss is accused of downloading the private data of over 150,000 student-athletes, primarily female collegiate athletes, according to officials.

The indictment claims that Matt Weiss gained access to a third-party database that contained data on student-athletes from over 100 colleges and universities nationwide. He allegedly accomplished this “by compromising the passwords” of employees who had higher-level database access.

42-year-old Matt Weiss was born on March 1, 1983. He is 5ft 9in tall.
Originally from Connecticut, Matt Weiss played football at Vanderbilt University before working as a coach in a variety of roles with the National Football League (NFL) Baltimore Ravens. The Connecticut native was born in Cheshire and went to Hopkins School, where he earned his degree in 2001. Weiss participated in both football and baseball for his high school.
Weiss continued his education at Vanderbilt University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in human and organizational development and economics.
From 2001 to 2003, he played as a walk-on third-string punter for the Vanderbilt Commodores, where he double majored in economics and English. Weiss, however, did not appear on the Sports Reference final roster during his time at Vanderbilt and never participated in a game there.
In 2008, he obtained a master’s degree in liberal arts while serving as a graduate assistant at Stanford.
Weiss’ personal life is largely unknown, although we do know that Matt is married and has children. He and his wife Melissa have three children together, a son and two daughters. Nothing else is known about them or his wife Melissa who is aged between 40-50 years.

Matt Weiss career
American football coach Matthew Weiss, better known by his nickname, Matt Weiss, most recently served as the Michigan Wolverines’ co-offensive coordinator and quarterback’s coach. In 2001, he won the school’s first New England Prep School Class C championship and led his team to a 12-0 record as quarterback, the first time this had ever been accomplished at the school.
According to his official website, Weiss spent 12 seasons as an assistant coach with the Baltimore Ravens before being hired at the official of Michigan in 2021. He was employed at Stanford University prior to that.
Weiss was put on administrative leave and later fired in 2023 after the University of Michigan police department started looking into him for a computer crime. Weiss had previously worked for former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and his brother, John, who was the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens.
