The recent accident, has sparked all kinds of discussions on reckless driving and suspected alcohol consumption.

A tragic accident took place on Thursday night in Vadodara, when a Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus crashed into a scooty. The incident took place near the Amrapali complex, and resulted in the death of one woman and injured two others. According to reports, the owner of the vehicle, Meet Chauhan, was in the car with his friend, Rakshit Chaurasia, driving. Rakshit, who was a law student at MS University, was reportedly driving at speeds of over 100 km/h.
The car eventually collided with the two-wheeler, the impact deploying the car’s airbags. Following the accident, it left the front end of the car mangled. Following the crash, Chauhan fled the scene while Chaurasia remained inside the car. A viral video of the incident showed Chauhan outside the vehicle in a white T-shirt, while insisting:
I did nothing, he was the one driving.”
Authorities have since confirmed that the vehicle was registered under Deon Technology Pvt Ltd.

Following the incident, several videos and footage of Chauhan have emerged from the crash site. Eyewitness footage shows Chauhan distancing himself from the situation just moments after the crash. In the clip, Chauhan repeatedly insists that Chaurasia was behind the wheel. Meanwhile, viewers can see Chaurasia acting irrationally, while shouting bizarre phrases such as “Another round!” and chanting “Om Namah Shivay.”

Meet Chauhan is a resident of Vadodara and the friend of Rakshit Chaurasia, the driver behind the recent Vadodara accident. Chauhan was the owner of the Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus, which got involved in the recent crash. Following the incident, he is now at the center of the investigation, although he was not the one driving. Moreover, his absence from the scene and attempts to flee have raised further concerns. Authorities are still continuing their search for Chauhan with investigations currently underway.
Chaurasia’s friend Meet Chauhan, whose father owns the car, was also with him in the car during the accident. Meet is from Bhayli and is a student of the Parul University. Meet is aged between 20-25 years and while his father owns the car involved in the accident, his parents names aren’t known.
According to reports, Chaurasia was driving a black Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus with the number plate GJ06RA687, and it belonged to his friend, Meet Chauhan, who was also in the car during the time of the accident. The vehicle is reportedly registered under Deon Technology Pvt Ltd. Chaurasia was reportedly driving at speeds of over 100 km/h at the time of the crash.
Meanwhile, Chauhan, who owned the car, reportedly fled the scene immediately after the accident. The tragic event also led to the cancellation of a local Holi celebration called Rangotsav.
Fatehganj based Purav Dipakbhai Patel (42) and his wife Hemali (40) were out on two-wheeler and passing through Kareligbag water tank Chandravali char rasta and at the same time Nishaben Ashishbhai Shah (35), Rensi Ashishbhai Shah(10) and Jimmi Ashishbhai Shah (15) were also passing on two-wheeler, when the car hit them. Hemali Purav Patel (40) died on the spot while Purav Dipakbhai Patel was seriously injured while Nishaben Shah, Rensi Shah, Jimmi Shah were also injured. The other two injured include siblings Vikas Ajit Kevlani and Komalben Ajitbhai Kevlani.
