She was born on 25 January 2005 in San Francisco, California, U.S. She is of Telugu race, and her family immigrated to the US from Hyderabad, Telangana, India, in the past. Her father’s name is Srikanth Vandanapu, and her mother’s name is Anupama.

Avantika Vandanapu did her schooling at Granda Hills Charter School. Apart from this, she also attended the American Conservatory Theater, where she took drama lessons.

Avantika Vandanapu won second place in the Dance India Dance Lil Masters (North America Edition) competition in 2014. Venturing into Telugu cinema in 2015, she initially signed up for two movies, making her official debut as a child artist in Brahmotsavam alongside Mahesh Babu.
She left Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha due to scheduling issues, but she later appeared in Chandra Shekhar Yeleti’s Manamantha and as the younger Madonna Sebastian in Premam. With a well-received performance, Avantika Vandanapu played the lead in the Disney Channel Original Movie Spin in 2021.
