To find Mayushi Bhagat, a 29-year-old Indian student who went missing more than four years ago, the FBI has stepped up attempts to find her by offering a reward of up to $10,000 (RS 8.32 lakh) for any information that may be relevant to her disappearance.

Mayushi was last seen leaving her Jersey City home on April 29, 2019, wearing bright pajama pants and a black T-shirt. Her family filed a missing person’s report on May 1, 2019. Despite exhaustive searches by multiple agencies, her whereabouts remain unknown.
The FBI has now urged the public to come forward with any relevant details or sightings of Mayushi Bhagat. In a formal statement issued last week, the FBI urged anybody with knowledge of Bhagat, her whereabouts, or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance to get in touch with the Jersey City Police Department or the FBI Newark.

They could receive a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to her location or recovery.

Who is Mayushi Bhagat?
Mayushi Bhagat was an Indian-origin student studying in the USA who disappeared mysteriously in 2019. She has been in the news because the FBI has stepped in to find her after four years of her disappearance.
She was born in July 1994 in India and was in the US on a student visa. In 2016, she entered the USA with an F1 student visa to seek a career in technology. She started at the University of New Hampshire in 2016 and subsequently moved to the New York Institute of Technology.
In a formal statement, the FBI said Mayushi Bhagat is fluent in Hindi, Urdu, and English. Several investigators have reported that she has friends in South Plainfield, New Jersey. She is said to be 5’10” with dark eyes and black hair and is aged 29.
Mayushi Bhagat’s father is Vikash Bhagat but the name of her mother isn’t known.
Where is she?
Last year, Mayushi Bhagat was placed on the FBI’s list of most wanted kidnappings and missing persons. The FBI put Bhagat on its list of “missing persons” in July of last year and asked the public for any information they may have about her.
The Times of India reported that on May 1st, around 12.30 am, Mayushi’s father spoke with her on WhatsApp. She claimed to be well but that she “did not want to be bothered.” However, she never went back home.
