Her real name is Maye Haldeman. She was born on April 19, 1948, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Her parents’ names are Winnifred Josephine “Wyn” (Fletcher) and Dr. Joshua Norman Haldeman. She has four siblings out of which one is her twin. In 1950, her family relocated to Pretoria, South Africa.
She holds Canadian, South African, and American citizenship.
She graduated with a master’s in dietetics from the Orange Free State University in South Africa. From the University of Toronto, she later obtained a second master’s degree in nutritional science.
She wed South African engineer Errol Musk. Elon Musk, Kimbal Musk, and Tosca Musk are their three kids. They were divorced in 1979.
