Maurizio is the new CEO of the Serie A giants, Juventus. The appointment becomes official on a crucial day for the Juventus club, which resets its top management with the resignation of president Andrea Agnelli and all the members of the board.
Scanavino, born in 1973, has worked professionally in a variety of fields (consulting, automotive, and publishing) and has experience both in Italy and overseas. He holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Turin Polytechnic. After beginning his career at Accenture and later working on the development of digital and e-commerce services, he joined the Fiat Group in 2004 and took part in Sergio Marchionne’s relaunch of the organisation as director of Brand Promotion, responsible for marketing and communications for the brand’s Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Lancia.
He began his career in the Group’s publishing division in 2007 as director of the publishing house La Stampa’s digital and marketing division, where he was primarily responsible for product development and the digital portfolio. Three years later, he was named general manager of the ad firm Publikompass.
Maurizio is currently the CEO and General Manager of GEDI Gruppo Editoriale, where he is dedicated to maintaining Italy’s position as a pioneer in the publishing industry’s digital transformation, including through business acquisitions and deliberate investments. It is completely a new era at Juventus and it will also be interesting to see how Maurizio will run the club.
