Mathys Henri Tel is a French professional footballer who was born on 27 April 2005 in Sarcelles, France. He currently plays as a forward for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, and is renowned for his pace, finishing, and possessing creative dribbling skills.

Tel started out his footballing journey with local clubs like Villiers Le Bel, Paris FC, ASJ Aubervilliers and Montrouge FC. He also spent some time at the famous Clairefontaine academy before signing for Rennes in 2020 aged 15.
Interestingly, he initially started out as a right-footed centre-back but slowly moved further up the pitch at his new club. Overtime, he progressed rapidly and by August 2021, Tel became the youngest player ever to play for Rennes aged 16. The teenager ended up playing 10 games off the bench across all competitions during the 2021/22 campaign.

Back in the summer of 2022, Mathys Tel led the France U17 side to victory at the European Championship. During that competition, he scored three goals and one assist in the group stage before scoring more goals in penalty shootout wins over Germany and Portugal.
