Mark Patton who famously starred in Nightmare on Elm Street 2 has been hospitalized due to AIDS-related ailments. The 63-year-old was first diagnosed with HIV on his 40th birthday in 1999. Back then, the famous actor was given only one year to live but has defied all odds ever since.

Following his declining health, a GoFundMe page has been set up to raise funds to transfer the star to a hospital in the US to undergo better treatment. Pattonโs health condition has forced him to cancel several scheduled appearances.
Valderrama wrote the page that he โhas decided to release his news in the hopes that his community could help himโ.

Mark Patton was born on 22 September 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. Besides working as an actor, Patton also works as an interior designer. He made his acting debut by starring as Joe Qualley, in 1982 comedy drama movie Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean.
The same year, he also starred as Rowan Hart in the science-fiction thriller Anna to the Infinite Power. Mark Patton mainly rose to fame after his role as Jesse Walsh in the movies A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge in 1985 and later in Freddy vs. Jason in 2003.
He later appeared in the 2010 documentary titled Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy. Besides those movies, he also starred in the following films:
