Navone was born to Luis Navone and Analía Vizzón, who also play tennis. Reports suggest that he is of Italian descent and has two sisters namely Lucia and Pilar with his sister a tennis player as well.
He started playing tennis at a local club in Argentina when he was just 3 years old. By the age of seven or eight, he spent five or six hours at the club every weekend.
As per his earlier interview, he idolizes Novak Djokovic and David Nalbandian. He first saw Djokovic at Roland Garros and was impressed by his skill. Navone is fondly also widely known as La Navoneta amongst his teammates.
As per reports, the player has a career high ATP singles ranking of world No. 29, that he achieved on June 10, this year. Navone did not own a tour-level win before the Rio de Janeiro event, having been 0-2.
He lost in the first round at Cordoba and then qualified in Buenos Aires, only to lose in the first round there.
However, in Rio, he became just the 11th qualifier to reach an ATP 500 final since the series began in 2009, defeating Federico Coria, Yannick Hanfmann, Joao Fonseca, and defending champion Cameron Norrie.
Although he entered Rio de Janeiro without a tour-level win, Navone has found success on the ATP Challenger Tour, winning 5 titles last year. He entered the French Open 2024 as seeded 31st with creating a history as the first ever player to make their main draw Grand Slam debut as a seeded player.
