The “highside” crash at the Sepang circuit on Wednesday threw Martin from his bike, causing him to drop violently and strike his head against the track. According to a statement from the MotoGP series, scans had ruled out any brain injuries, but Martin will miss the remainder of the three-day test to have surgery in his native Spain later this week for the fractures.
Last season, Martin rode a Ducati bike to win the title. From February 28 to March 2, Thailand’s Chang International Circuit will host the 2025 season’s opening round which Martin could end up missing owing to his gruesome crash.
Social media influencer, age 23 Maria Monfort Matutes is well-known for being the girlfriend of Pramac Racing’s Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer Jorge Martin Almoguera, also known as the Martinator. She is passionate about fashion, as she shows on her Instagram, where she also shares her travels on the platform. While her net worth isn’t known, her longtime boyfriend Jorge is worth between $5-10 million.
She is also the granddaughter of the businessman and former Spain minister Abel Matutes.
Around 2022, Maria and Jorge started dating, and on June 29, 2022, Jorge made their relationship public by posting a picture of her on Instagram. She frequently shows up to MotoGP races to cheer on her partner.
Maria Monfort Matutes’ family and education
Maria Monfort Matutes is the second child of Carmen Matutes, one of Spain’s most influential ladies, and Alejandro Monfort, a Basque real estate tycoon. Abel Matutes, Maria’s maternal grandfather, was Minister of Foreign Affairs during Jose Maria Aznar’s first term in Spain. He is now referred to as “the king of Ibiza” because he owns a number of renowned hotels in the Peninsula and the Caribbean, including the Hard Rock Hotel and the Ushuaia.
After spending some of her early years studying on the island of Ibiza, Maria Monfort relocated to Madrid. Since the two sisters get along so well, Lydia was thrilled when Maria accompanied her to England a year after her older sister left to attend Bristol, England’s Badminton School, a boarding school for females.
Following graduation, Maria started working at the Instituto de Empresa in 2020 as a Business Administration and Management student.
