He is currently 19 years old with his height at 187cm, having just celebrated his birthday a few days back. The teenager is a very composed centre-back despite his young age. He often enjoys initiating attacks using his clinical forward passing aside from his defensive duties. As a defender, Simpson-Pusey uses his physical prowess to dominate one-v-one situations and possesses good ball-reading abilities.

Jahmai Simpson-Pusey started out his football career with multiple Premier League clubs before eventually joining the Manchester City youth academy at the age of eight. Over the last decade, he has become a key figure in every age group that he has represented. Simpson-Pusey led the Manchester City U18 side as captain to the FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League titles in 2024.

That same year, he featured for the first-team during their pre-season tour in across the USA. Simpson-Pusey eventually made his professional debut this year on October 30, 2024, He came on as a second half substitute for Manchester City during their 2-1 loss against Tottenham in the EFL Cup. The youngster recently made his first Champions League start during City’s clash against Sporting CP where they lost 4-1. However, it was not obvious quite how big those plans were. He featured alongside Akanji with full-backs Rico Lewis and Josko Gvardiol on the flanks.
