Amad Diallo who follows Islam and is a Muslim by religion is an Ivorian professional football player who was born on July 11, 2002, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He is currently 21 years old and plays for Manchester United in the English Premier League. Amad primarily plays as a winger. Despite being born on the Ivory Coast, he emigrated to Italy at a young age.

Amad Diallo club career

Amad started out his youth career in September 2014 at Boca Barco before eventually joining Atalanta in January 2015. He eventually broke into the first team at Atlanta and made his Serie A debut for Atalanta on October 27, 2019. He helped the club win the Campionato Primavera 1 in 2019-20. Notably, he made his debut by coming off the bench in a clash against Udinese, where he scored in a dominant 7-1 win.

As a result, Diallo became the first player born in 2002 to score a goal in Serie A. Amad Diallo then made his Champions League debut for Atalanta on December 1, 2020. Following an impressive series of performances for Atalanta, Diallo caught the attention of English giants Manchester United. The Red Devils agreed to sign Diallo from the Italian side on October 5, 2020, for a reported fee of around €25 million–€40 million, including bonuses. The transfer officially went through on January 7, 2021.

International career

Diallo has represented Ivory Coast, at both the under-23 and senior levels. The 21-year-old made his senior debut for Ivory Coast during an Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Niger on March 26, 2021, where he came on as a late substitute. He also represented Ivory Coast in 2021 at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
