The latest Netflix documentary has raised a lot of questions about the Murdaugh family, as well as the death of Mallory Beach, know her cause of death, age and boyfriend
The Netflix crime documentary Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal has explored the killings of Paul Murdaugh, who was 22, and his mother Margaret “Maggie” Murdaugh who was 52. Both of them were found dead in their family’s hunting lodge in June of 2021.

Alex Murdaugh, who is Maggie’s husband and Paul’s father, is presently on a trial for their deaths as he took the stand in his own defense, pleading not to be guilty over the case.
The documentary explores the events leading up to Maggie and Paul’s deaths, including a 2019 boating accident. Paul was involved in killing 19-year-old Mallory Beach.
Who was Mallory Beach?
Mallory Beach was a 19-year-old who hails From South Carolina and she was killed in a boating accident in early 2019.
Parents of Mallory Beach told the media that Mallory was “always a people person.” Her father, Phillip Beach stated, “She could be a lady when she needed to be a lady and she could be a tomboy. She loved to go hunting and fishing also.”
Mallory Beach was dating one of Paul Murdaugh’s friends. When she died, Mallory Beach was in a relationship with a teen named Anthony Cook, who appears in the documentary too. Mallory and Anthony, along with numerous friends, got on the Murdaugh family boat on the 23rd of February in 2019 to attend an oyster roast, as per the documentary.
Anthony had explained in the documentary that Paul was “out of his mind drunk.” Apart from his friends’ pleas, Paul drove the boat drunk.
When the boat crashed, Anthony revealed that he heard a scream before he passed out, and then he realized that Mallory wasn’t on the boat or with him in the water. He continued to dive in and out of the water to try to find her. It would be more than a week before she was found.
Did they ever find Mallory Beach?
Investigators and the volunteers spent around eight days in search of Mallory, as per reports. On the 3rd of March 2019, two volunteers found her body about five miles down.
In early 2023, a judge approved the settlement between the family of Mallory and two of Alex Murdaugh’s family members, Buster and Maggie Murdaugh.
