The Titans’ RB was accused of aggravated assault by strangulation, but after posting a $10,000 bond, he was freed. The 2022 NFL Draft’s fourth-round pick is suspected of committing a domestic violence incident. According to reports from Scoop Nashville and Turron Davenport of ESPN NFL Nation, Haskins reportedly suppressed Makiah Green after liking another man’s Instagram picture.
Hassan Haskins is accused of kicking down a door and cocking a weapon during another argument about their split before stating, “I hope you would.” He took such steps in reaction to Green’s threat to cut the tyres of his vehicle.
Green was incarcerated at the same time for a different disagreement about their separation. She also yanked the $5,000 chain from Haskins’ neck by force. It is not yet known if she has been freed from custody.
Haskins’ NFL career
With the 131st overall pick in the 2022 draught, the Titans selected Haskins. After Malik Willis, Nicholas Petit-Frere, Roger McCreary, and Treylon Burks, he was the fifth player chosen by the team last year.
Haskins participated in 15 games and one start for the Titans during his first season. In all, he gained 93 yards on 25 runs and 57 yards on 11 receptions. In the Titans’ running back depth chart, he was positioned behind Derrick Henry and Jonathan Ward, the 2020 NFL Offensive Player of the Year candidates. He will have to compete with Tyjae Spears, a third-round selection in 2023, and Henry for playing time this season.
Hassan Haskins’ potential suspension from the Titans for this offence is still unknown. However, this episode just makes Tennessee’s problems worse. He is still listed as a Titan, though. Five of the nine players that were suspended were let go by their team.
Haskins’ college football career
Haskins played for the Michigan Wolverines for four seasons. He earned spots on the First Team All-Big Ten and the Second Team All-American teams in his senior year at Ann Arbour. The Missouri native has 1,327 yards and 20 running touchdowns by the time the 2021 season was up. Additionally, he had 18 receptions for 131 yards.
His tally of running touchdowns tops Michigan’s previous high for a single season. Ron Johnson held the previous record with 19 in 1968. Against Ohio State, Michigan’s most serious adversary, Hassan Haskins also scored five touchdowns. Additionally, since 2019, he has carried the ball 443 times without fumbling. These qualities persuaded the Tennessee Titans to choose him as the 11th running back overall in the 2017 NFL Draught.
