Shelley received a diagnosis of acute myeloid leukaemia in February 2021. AML is a form of blood cancer affecting the bone marrow’s myeloid cells. Josh, her loving son, created a Just Giving page in 2022 to collect funds for a blood cancer organisation. Shelley received treatment and care from the Anthony Nolan Foundation.
Josh elaborates on his mother’s struggle with the terminal disease in the statement on his Just Giving website. “I find it difficult to express the feelings that my family and I have experienced over the past year, both at the time of the diagnosis and since then.”
He further added, “Mother is the centre of our family and without a doubt the strongest person I know, especially in light of everything she has endured over the past 12 months.”

The business nevertheless maintains a committed and active Instagram account.
