Mahmoud Khalil arrested and revoked of his Green Card
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on April 6, 2024, arrested Mahmoud Khalil after raiding his apartment. The ICE official raided Khalil’s university-owned apartment located in Manhattan, near the Columbia University campus. Following the raid, Khalil’s attorney, Amy Greer, stated that federal agents informed her that they would be revoking Khalil’s student visa. Upon clarifying that Khalil had a green card, the agents stated how they would revoke that too. Meanwhile, Columbia University made an official response to the arrest, saying:
