Mahadev Jadav, 75, the father of Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav, was rescued after being reported missing from their Pune residence on Monday.
Notably, the cricketer had filed a police report at the Alankar police station on Monday, noting that his dementia-stricken father had left their Kothrud house for a morning stroll but then vanished. According to the report, he was last seen exiting the complex’s entrance.

But, according to the police source quoted in the PTI article, Mahadev Jadhav was discovered in the Mundhwa region. Speaking about his condition, Senior Inspector Ajit Lakde of Mundhwa police station said,
“His condition is fine and he has been reunited with his family.”

Mahadev Jadhav is the father of well-known Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav. He has been in the news because he was recently rescued after being reported missing on Monday.
He was a native of Jadhavwadi in Madha in the Solapur district. He is married and his wife’s name is Mandakini Jadhav. He is the father of 4 children, including cricketer Kedar Jadhav.
Mahadev Jadhav’s son, Kedar Jadhav, is a renowned cricketer who played as a batting all-rounder, uses his right hand to bat and bowl right-arm off-break, and also does wicketkeeping. He has represented multiple teams, including Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Daredevils, and Kochi Tuskers Kerala, in the Indian Premier League.
Kedar Jadhav marked his One Day International (ODI) debut for India in a game against Sri Lanka on November 16, 2014. Additionally, he made his T20I debut for India on 17 July 2015, during a match against Zimbabwe.
