Due to this, the suspicions around the case and her whereabouts have become the talk of the town with many people trying to find out more about Madalina Cojocari and her disappearance. So, let’s find out more about her:
Who Is Madalina Cojocari?
Madalina Cojocari is an 11-year-old American girl. She has been in the news because she has gone missing recently and her parents got arrested.
She hails from Moldova. However, she is currently living in Cornelius, North Carolina. Her mother’s name is Diana Cojocari who is 37 years old while her biological father’s name is not known. She also has a stepfather named Christopher Palmiter, who is 60 years old.
She is a student at Bailey Middle School.
Her height is 4 feet 10 inches and her weight is 90 pounds.
Where did she go missing?
Madalina Cojocari’s mother Diana Cojocari reported her missing on December 15 even though she was last seen getting off a school bus on November 21. In addition, her family was observed torching furniture, among other things, in their garden in the days after her disappearance.
Late in November, neighbors on Victoria Bay Drive reported witnessing flames and smoke pouring from the house’s yard and even called the police and fire service. Guerry Barbee, the fire chief for Cornelius, verified the fire on Wednesday.
The police conducted a check of the premises after Madalina Cojocari was reported missing. As they searched the yard for trash, FBI agents joined them.
Her mother had an argument with her husband on the day of her disappearance. When Christopher returned from Michigan on November 26, three days after leaving that evening, he alleges he learned that Madalina was missing from the residence.
Diana claimed that she waited until December 15 to report her missing out of concern about Palmiter’s response. She informed that she spoke with the girl’s relatives in Moldova after she vanished and they asked her to contact the police but she refused. A week before her disappearance, according to Palmiter, Madalina was last seen by him.
Over the weekend, police detained Diana and Christopher and accused them of failing to report a missing kid.
