Two people and a woman were injured after shots fired in the Saket court area, Delhi, as per media reports. Police officials later arrived at the crime spot and began investigating the matter.

A peculiar angle behind the Saket court firing case came to the fore, as the department of Delhi Police disclosed that the woman who was shot, was involved in several fraud cases. The shooter Kameshwar Kumar Singh was an advocate in Saket court but was debarred and he was wearing his uniform while this incident took place.
The suspended lawyer, who shot at woman in Delhi's Saket Court premises, had lodged an FIR against her and an advocate, Rajendra Jha, for defrauding and grossly cheating him to the tune of Rs 25 lakh.

The woman has taken money from the person who was the shooter, for doubling it. Both were present in the court in relation to this matter only. Numerous other cases are also lodged against that woman for fraudulent activities.
The shooter loaned Rs 25 lakh on interest to the woman and an advocate Rajendhra Jha and she was defaulting on the repayment. As per the eyewitness, the accused fired 4 to 5 times back to back before escaping through Canteen’s back entry. DCP said, ‘Everything is normal in court now.’
‘The woman was with her lawyer when the person shot her,’ reported the police department.
The assailant has been arrested by the Delhi Police and the victims are currently admitted to Max Hospital, Saket. This all happened near the lawyer’s chamber around 10:15 am. The woman involved in the Saket court firing is badly injured and was identified as 40 years old. Her name is M Radha and she is from New Friends Colony. Radha got 2 bullet injuries in her abdomen and another one in her hand.
“An FIR was registered in December in which the victim of today’s incident is accused. The woman had taken money from the person (shooter) on the promise of doubling it, both of them had come to the court related to the matter. Several other cases of fraud are also lodged against the woman,” Delhi Police DCP Chowdhary said.
“The accused escaped via the canteen back entry after firing 4-5 rounds. There is no law and order at the scene and teams have been formed to nab the accused,” said DCP South.
The accused identified as Kameshwar Kumar Singh had lodged the FIR last year in November against the victim and Jha and it was registered under sections 406 (Punishment for criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating), 120 B (criminal conspiracy).
Another incident of firing on women took place at Rohini court in April last year, after a big fight took place between 2 advocates and their female client.
Prior to this, on the 24th of September 2021, two gunmen dressed as lawyers fired in Delhi’s Rohini court. Both gunmen were killed in police firing. The attackers were Rahul Tyagi and Jagdeep Jagga and they posed as lawyers to take entry into the courtroom they fired multiple bullets on the gangster Jitender Maan alias Gogi.
