In a long English word salad, a quarter dozen WaPo journalists in a hit piece have tried painting us somewhere between RW & RAW (no pun intended).
To do this, they recycled 2-year-old Pakistani propaganda, making it ‘ANONYMOUS.’

In a story published recently with the headline “Covert Indian operation seeks to discredit Modi’s critics in the U.S.,” the Washington Post raised questions about the purported goals of the Indian OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) named “Disinfo Lab” and attacked it.
This action comes after American political pundit Jack Posobiec disclosed details of Priyanshu Verma of The Washington Post’s investigations into “Disinfo Lab.” The Washington Post made accusations against the OSINT account, which is renowned for exposing false information utilized by the US State Department.
They stated that Lt. Col. Dibya Satpathy, an Indian intelligence officer, is in charge of the operation, which aims to sway public perceptions of the opponents of the Modi administration throughout the world. The Washington Post made serious accusations against “Disinfo Lab’s” authenticity, even though it focused on revealing misinformation tactics directed towards India.
The story included a number of “experts” who accused the Indian government of utilizing “Disinfo Lab” to sway public opinion worldwide. But several of these mentioned experts—like Ajai Shukla and Joyjeet Pal—have had problems with reputation in the past, which calls into doubt their dependability.
Since then, Lt. Col. Dibya Satpathy has become a trending topic of discussion in the whole world. Due to this, many people are currently trying to know more about him. So, here’s what we know about him:
Who is Lt. Col. Dibya Satpathy?
Lt. Col. Dibya Satpathy is the alleged founder of Indian OSINT (open source intelligence) named Disinfo Lab. He has been in the news because the Washington Post recently published dubious claims connecting him to a purported covert operation.
He is supposedly identified as the 39-year-old intelligence officer connected to India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) as per the Washington Post but nothing has been officially confirmed. In 2020, he allegedly founded Disinfo Lab and currently serves as its current head.
According to the only interview that is known to exist, Lt. Col. Dibya Satpathy’s forum was founded by people with marketing and political experience. The group emphasized its role in battling the “narrative war” against India while reiterating its dependence on conventional open-source intelligence techniques.
In response to questions from The Washington Post, Disinfo Lab strongly denied having any affiliation with any government agency and reiterated that it is an independent organization dedicated to identifying and combating misinformation.
