But Mayank really got everyone’s attention three deliveries before he claimed his first IPL wicket, as he hit PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan with a thunderbolt that clocked in at 155.8 kmph, beating the star batter’s outside edge. He beat Rajasthan Royal’s pacer Nandre Burger, who had earlier set the pace with a time of 153, to bowl the fastest delivery of the 2024 IPL.

On October 11, 2022, the 21-year-old played his first Twenty20 match for Delhi against Manipur. On December 12, 2022, he made his List A debut for Delhi against Haryana. He played his first-class debut for Delhi against Maharashtra one day after being selected for the List A.
